ASTM hosts copper workshop

The ASTM International copper and copper alloys committee is sponsoring a workshop taking place on 3 April in Colorado, USA, to update on regulations covering copper and copper alloys. The workshop will take place in conjunction with the standards development meetings of the committee.

The workshop leaders will provide an update on the regulatory landscape for copper-based products considering the entire value chain will be considered including issues that affect the upstream production of raw materials such as responsible sourcing, as well as the downstream fabrication and use of finished products. According to organizers, North American regulations will be discussed, as well as policies stemming from other jurisdictions.
