The Award of Merit is ASTM’s highest organizational recognition for individual contributions to standards activities. Committee B10 has recognizsd Garde for his committee leadership as a past chairman and dedication to the promotion of the committee through standards development and symposia events.
Garde is a zirconium metallurgist with 40 years of industrial experience in nuclear materials and is a member of ASM International, the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM) and TMS, the Minerals, Metals and Materials Society. He is the author of more than 70 technical publications and holds ten patents.
