ASTM International Committee B07 on Light Metals and Alloys has honored Brian Cochran, a consultant based in Wabash, Indiana, USA with the Award of Merit. The award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest organizational recognition for individual contributions to standards activities. Cochran has spent most of his career at Wabash Alloys in Wabash, Indiana, where he provided technical services to aluminum manufactures as sales manager and director of technical service. An independent consultant to the aluminum industry since 2006, Cochran works with such large companies as Alcoa, Chrysler and Honda.
