The fourth Member, Dr Reinhard Walter, has been suspended as member of the management board of AMG and of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH, an AMG subsidiary pending discussions on his retirement.
AMG has also appointed Dr Markus Holz as president of AMG’s engineering systems division and CEO of ALD Vacuum Technologies GmbH, replacing Dr Walter. Before joining AMG in 2011, Dr Holz held various leadership positions including CEO of ThyssenKrupp Titanium Group, and Managing Director of Hempel Special Metals GmbH. Dr Holz will be focusing on leading the engineering systems division’s growth initiatives and efficiency enhancement efforts. He will be supported by a newly formed ALD supervisory board, chaired by AMG’s CEO.
“The adjustment of AMG’s Management structure will simplify the reporting systems and enable AMG to better focus on its operational improvement process,” Dr Schimmelbusch said.
