Advanced Interactive Materials Science Limited (AIMS) plans to exhibit its range of PM products at this year’s Advanced Engineering UK show.

AIMS is a specialist in the field of powder metallurgy using the hot isostatic pressing (HIP) process.

Amongst the products on display will be the company’s patented helicoidal mud motor stator featuring a telemetry hole that can resist the abrasive, corrosive and erosive conditions of modern day drilling techniques. AIMS will also be showing its HIPed venturi valve, which is demonstrating the enhanced mechanical properties available from this process.

‘We are experiencing growing demand domestically and internationally for our Sagittite and near-net shaping capabilities, not only from the oil and gas industries but also food processing, nuclear and aerospace manufacturers, for which we are developing new, bespoke materials,’ said AIMS managing director, Mark Hodgkins.

‘Our leading-edge manufacturing technology [...] allows complex structures to be made from our family of metal matrix composite materials. ‘

The Advanced Engineering UK show takes place from 4-5 November 2015, in Birmingham, UK.
