Franklin Bronze Precision Components has added an additional automated wax press which it says can generate more patterns per hour.

According to the company, the wax press incorporates a robotic mold spray system that can integrate controls for spray amount and location dependent on part and tool design. The robotic system within the auto press can be pre-programmed and run on demand.

Frankin next plans to automate part retrieval using core pull technology to automatically pull the tooling apart, remove the part and reassemble the tooling without operator intervention.  This will allow for complex tooled parts with multiple components to be manufactured in a shorter time frame, the company said.
