Malvern Instruments launches improved rheometer platform

Malvern Instruments has launched an improved rSolution platform on its Kinexus rotational rheometer to help customers use rheological measurements more effectively.

The company says that that the improvements will help accelerate formulation studies, improve the effectiveness of troubleshooting, and ensure better quality control.

rSolution makes it easier for users to measure relevant rheology that provides valuable insight into product and process performance and is part of the version 1.70rSpace software for Kinexus. It can improve flexibility in rheological test capabilities and protocols to meet industrial requirements for rheological testing.

Malvern’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) approach to material testing has been improved in the new software to simplify user interaction. rSolution now delivers ‘expert system’ guidance and SOP driven testing to rheological measurements and incorporates customizable test designs to enable researchers to set-up and execute the best test for commonly encountered problem that can be solved through the application of rheology. There are also intelligence and guidance features to provide support through sample loading, measurement, analysis and result interpretation.
