Larger 3D printed parts

SLM Solutions has launched a new 3D printer with a larger build envelope for the defense, space, and aviation industries.

The NXG XII 600E can now print 1.5 m in the Z-axis, the company said, reportedly the largest build envelope in the industry. SLM’s previous printer, the NXG XII 600, can also be upgraded to use the larger build envelope.

It can process powders such as IN718, AlSi10Mg, TiAl6V4 and copper alloys and support-free printing is available, according to SLM.
