Additive Industries says that after becoming a finalist for the TCT Hardware Award 2018 with its with our Dynamic Multi Laser Assignment, it has received an ‘Honorable Mention’ in the IMTS 2018 Exhibitor Product Innovation Competition.
With the increasing demand for improved productivity in metal additive manufacturing through increased numbers of lasers, one of the biggest unspoken issues in multi-laser powder bed fusion systems is the interaction of smoke and spatter from one laser interacting with another laser, Additive Industries explains. ‘The dynamic multi laser assignment tool is unique as it is only solution for multi-laser LBPF systems that allows control over lasers so that the operator can choose to have the best quality, where no laser interaction occurs, to best productivity, where laser interaction is minimised but maximum use of all lasers is preserved,’ it said in a press release.
