Linde LLC extends the success of the Sinterflex Atmosphere Control System (ACS) with a new portfolio of ACS solutions including for vacuum sintering and sintering AM binder-jetting.

Gas company Linde LLC has developed two portfolios which could help improve the quality of powder metal (PM) sintering, metal injection molding (MIM) and additive manufacturing (AM) processes.

The company’s Sinterflex atmosphere control systems (ACS) for PM and AM processing now encompasses four solutions and related components for press and sinter, MIM, vacuum sintering, and sintering of binder-jetted 3D components.

Linde’s ADDvance AM technology for improving quality before, during and after AM processing includes the portable ADDvance O2 precision atmosphere monitoring system, which is suitable for laser powder-bed fusion processes and powder storage, the company says. The portfolio also includes ADDvance Cryoclean which uses carbon dioxide (CO2) and an abrasive for cleaning surface residues from parts after 3D printing.
