US space company Fleet Space Technologies has developed a 3D printed satellite which it plans to launch into space.

The Alpha small satellite was made using smallsat digital beamforming technology that uses a range of multiple 3D printed metal antennas and digital signal processing.

“Alpha represents a major step forward and the first time a satellite has been created entirely through 3D-printing,” said Flavia Tata Nardini, CEO of Fleet Space Technologies.
