3D printing company EOS has worked with the Technical University of Munich to design a biomass burner that can enable an improved mixture of particles and oxygen. According to EOS, this can in turn improve the efficiency of an efficient power plant operation regardless of fuel type and level of utilization.

EOS says that the main component of the burner was printed as a single piece and without a weld seam on an EOS M 290 3D printer using EOS NickelAlloy IN718.
