[ELGIN, IL] -- On July 17, Wagner Industrial Systems held a special "Media Day" event designed to generate awareness of its vast capabilities in both liquid painting applications and powder coating solutions.

The opening presentation included an overview of Wagner, which included historical perspective dating back to 1947, continuing with Wagner's progression and evolution over the course of several decades. Visitors were also introduced to the Wagner Industrial Solutions management team: Matthias Koehler, president and general manager; Jeff Porters, operations manager; Andrea Tamboureas, controller; and Janet James, business development sales manager.

After the introduction and overview, visitors were treated to a guided tour of Wagner Industrial Solutions' facilities, which included a walk-through of Wagner's liquid lab as well as the company's new powder lab. Attendees learned the various steps involved in the application process, from feeding to mixing + dosing and application, to moving + controlling to booth design and recovery. The tour also included some product highlights: Wagner's HP double diaphragm pump Cobra--high performance with minimized internal volumes that greatly reduce solvent consumption and material waste during flushing and color-change operations; AirCoat--automatic gun GA 4000AC, offering excellent finish, human-engineered design and high reliability; and the GM 5000 Manual Electrostatic Gun, offering excellent wrap around, fast ROI, optimal surface finishing and efficiency.

Product highlights on the powder coating side; Electronic 2K-mising and dosing equipment, for different areas of application and high delivery rates; PEM-X1, offering intuitive operation, comfortable design and balance along with a range of accessories; Manual Unit Sprint X--providing flexibility and efficiency for optimal coating results; and the ProfiTech M Control Unit, offering professional functions for excellent coating results.
