A letter of intent with the customer was signed in April

PyroGenesis will supply 10 of its metal powder production systems over an 18-month period. The customer requires continuous supply of metal powder feedstock for its own internal 3D printing production use.

PyroGenesis is a specialist in the design, development, manufacture and commercialization of advanced plasma processes and process equipment packages for the defence, metallurgical, mining, advanced materials, oil & gas, and environmental industries.

The company uses thermal plasma, which can reach temperatures in excess of 10,000°C, to melt and transform metals such as titanium.

Increased contracts

The company's backlog of signed contracts now exceeds US$20 million, or the equivalent of approximately 350% of the company's revenues in its previous fiscal year, all of which is expected to be completed by year end 2015.
