Thermo Fisher Scientific expands Indian R&D facility

Thermo Fisher Scientific has expanded its R&D and engineering facility based in Hyderabad, India.

Plans are for the new 42,000 ft2 center to develop new laboratory and analysis products, designing and develop instruments and performing performance testing and verification. It will reportedly employ over 450 engineers and vendor partners with an annual planned R&D investment of US$15 million.

"Hyderabad city is a hotspot for talent acquisition, home to world-renowned R&D institutes, and is one of India's fastest-growing engineering, life sciences and IT knowledge hubs," said Tony Acciarito, president at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
