Tekna signs medical 3D printing agreement

Materials specialist has signed a long-term supply agreement with Marle Tangible, a medical device contract manufacturer based in the US.

Plans are for Tekna to supply and deliver titanium powder to be used for Marle’s 3D printed orthopedic implants. Tekna says that medical 3D printing represents 16% of its additive manufacturing (AM) sales.

“At Marle Tangible, we aim to continue paving the way for additive manufactured medical devices with Tekna by our side,” said Chris Collins, chief operations officer at Marle Tangible.
