TAT Technologies confirms sintering course

Sintering Course 101, a 10-day program kicking off on 1 October 2012, will cover conventional iron-based PM.Each day will have one lecture from an industry expert and several pre-designed experiments that will be carried out by the students. Participants will learn the effect of different combinations of temperature, atmosphere, and belt speed settings on sintered properties using a commercial type 7-zone sintering furnace.

In 2013 TAT Technologies plans to offer four more sintering courses to cover high-density ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless steel, and advanced materials.2013 will also mark the start of new technology developments that will help develop better operating practices and improve sintering, the company says. The ultimate goal is to create a comprehensive PM Training Institute for all process aspects of the PM industry.
