Sumitomo says the tools have higher efficiency and accuracy and longer tool life than previous types, improving grooving efficiency and reducing costs.
The tools feature:
- Five types of chipbreaker for good chip control and various machining processes;
- High-rigidity single-piece holders constructed of special steel to reduce vibration during machining; and
- High-precision sintered inserts for improved machining accuracy.
