Additive manufacturing (AM) company Sintavia LLC says that it has received AS9100 Revision D certification to help improve its quality system by including risk-based thinking and maintaining organizational knowledge.
According to the company the certification wording covers methods for institutionalizing and maintaining critical organizational knowledge.
‘New requirements were added to the standard,’ said Doug Hedges, Sintavia president and COO. ‘Some of these requirements we have always done since the beginning because they are simply good business practices. Now we are one of only a handful of aerospace companies in the world that has the new Revision D certification.’
