Sigma Labs allies with AM consultant

Sigma Labs, Inc, which makes quality assurance software for additive manufacturing (AM), has signed a commercial alliance with Morf3D to help AM in the aerospace and defense sector.

Morf3D, based in California, is an AM product developer specializing in high-level consulting and manufacturing services including conceptualization, optimization, metallurgical examination, certification and data analysis. Using Sigma Labs’ PrintRite3D quality assurance software, Morf3D could help customers increase AM production rates while ensuring consistent part quality. The two companies will also work together to manufacture 3D printed parts in future.

‘Due to the growth in demand for 3D printed metal components within the A&D industry, we’ve decided to join forces to better serve a number of OEMs with their next-generation applications,’ said Mark Cola, President and CEO of Sigma Labs. ‘Working together, we can design, engineer, manufacture, and assure the quality of AM components across a number of exciting A&D opportunities.’
