Sandvik Additive Manufacturing and part subsidiary BEAMIT have partnered with a Middle East 3D printing company.
Immensa Additive Manufacturing Group develops industrial and mechanical applications for defense, oil and gas, industrial, and transportation, and currently operates in Dubai and Sharjah, Kuwait, Riyadh, and Dammam.
According to Sandvik, Immensa will make use of its materials technology knowledge, additive manufacturing (AM) processes, and metal powders, including super-duplex stainless steels, nickel-based super alloys and titanium.
‘We recognize the big potential for additive technology in the MENA region,’ said Kristian Egeberg, president of Sandvik Additive Manufacturing. ‘We look forward to help drive the implementation of additive manufacturing across a number of industries in the area.’
