Martin, who previously led Sandvik Coromant in Italy, succeeds John Israelsson who moves to the position of president within Sandvik Hyperion.
Martin began his career with Sandvik over 25 years ago starting as a machinist. He has also worked in quality control and as a drilling specialist. He was responsible for the Iberica region (Spain and Portugal) for Sandvik Coromant before serving as president of Italy, Spain and Portugal markets.
“It is exciting to be part of a growing market with a lot of innovation and diversity,” said Martin. “I’ve always wanted to work in a large market that is agile and technologically advanced, where developments happen fast.”
