Mats Backman, executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for Sandvik has decided to leave the company to assume the equivalent position as CFO for automotive safety supplier Autoliv. He will assume the position no later than 1 June 2016. The process to find a successor has been initiated.
‘I’m grateful for Mats Backman’s contributions and the role that he has played as a key member in the group executive management,’ said Björn Rosengren, Sandvik’s president and CEO. ‘At the same time I’m pleased that Mats will ensure a successful transition to his successor. I wish Mats all the best in his new position.’
Backman has worked at Sandvik since 2007.
