The award, which includes the title of fellow, is reportedly ASTM’s highest recognition for distinguished service and outstanding participation in ASTM International committee activities. Pelter was recognized for his dependable leadership, technical expertise, and work across committees on standardization of steel, ASTM said.
He has been an ASTM International member since 2004 and received an Award of Excellence (2019) and a Robert R Litehiser Award (2019).
