He will be replaced by Dr Peter Leibinger, vice chairman of the managing board and chief technology officer (CTO), the company said.
"As chairman of the supervisory board of Trumpf, Dr Hambrecht has been of tremendous service to our company,” said CEO Dr Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller.
