Registration opens for basic PM short course

The Basic Powder Metallurgy (PM) Short Course, the PM industry's longest running course, is now open for registration, according to the MPIF.

The course takes place from 15-17 August in Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel State College, Pennsylvania, USA.

The 50+ year course has become the industry standard for introducing those new to PM to the metal-forming technology and as a refresher for those looking to stay current with recent industry developments. Topics ranging from basic principles to part design and from conventional press-and-sintering to metal additive manufacturing.

This intensive three-day course is suitable for those who are:

  • Looking for an introduction to PM
  • Updating their knowledge of recent industry developments
  • Seeking to expand current knowledge of the industry in order to enhance advancement opportunities
  • Specialized in one area of PM and looking to broaden their background in the field
  • A user of PM parts (or wish to be one).
