PyroGenesis, which makes metal powders for additive manufacturing (AM) says that it has increased its ownership in HPQ Silicon Resources, a gold and quartz exploration company, to 9.6%.
PyroGenesis has previously worked with HPQ to demonstrate, on a laboratory scale, that the company’s Purevap process can produce silicon metal with improved purity from quartz in a one step process and is now designing a pilot system to produce silicon metal directly from quartz.
