PMA to Host Conference for Automotive Suppliers

The Precision Metalforming Association, PMA, has scheduled its 19th annual Automotive Parts Suppliers Council (APSC) meeting for April 25-26, 2012, in Novi, Mich. The event features cutting-edge and timely automotive industry trend analysis, production forecasts, benchmarking, and discussion of strategic trends and changing conditions in the automotive market.

A brief overview: 

On Wednesday, April 25, at 3:00 p.m., the program begins with a panel discussion entitled Critical Issues Metalformers Explore and Execute Upon, moderated by Craig Fitzgerald of Plante & Moran. Panelists include Bob Clay, Pridgeon & Clay; Jeff Clark, Waukesha Metal Products; and Wes Smith, E & E Manufacturing Company. For the first time, the APSC meeting also includes a "Women in Automotive Roundtable," where women in automotive supplying and production can share best practices, successes and strategies. The day’s events conclude with a networking cocktail reception.

The schedule for Thursday, April 26, includes a keynote address by Dan Sharkey of Brooks Wilkins Sharkey & Turco PLLC, on negotiating from the buyer’s perspective; a supply chain panel featuring Timothy Mann, GRA-MAG; Linda Allen, AM General LLC; and moderator Kevin Galvin, Advanced Purchasing Dynamics; an industry outlook panel with Michael Robinet, IHS Automotive, and moderator Dave Andrea, OESA; and a networking luncheon with automotive forecast.

The APSC meeting is an ideal forum for chief executive officers, presidents, chief financial officers and other senior executives of companies serving the automotive market to network with fellow automotive suppliers and hear the latest industry trends.
