Mathias Hochstrasser has been appointed managing director of Plansee Composite Materials in Lechbruck, Germany. Hochstrasser joined Plansee in Switzerland in 2006 as a production planner, and in 2011, he relocated to China as project leader for the construction of a new Shanghai plant, which he helped expand. Plansee currently has more than 400 employees in China.
‘Plansee in Lechbruck is very well positioned – with great employees, competitive products, good capacity utilization, and outstanding machinery,’ said Hochstrasser. ‘To optimize Lechbruck further, we need state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and processes, a high level of automation, qualified employees, and carefully crafted succession planning in order to cover the need for suitable employees for the years ahead.’
