Philadelphia Carbide now offers hardmetal and ceramic tools

The tools can be made in many different configurations and are machined from hard materials, mainly carbides and ceramics. The tools are specially made to conform to the dimensional tolerances, specifications and schedule the customer requires.

Among the parts Philadelphia Carbide has manufactured include water jet plungers, punches, dies and die inserts, high viscosity mixer pins, homogenizer replacement parts, industrial guide rings (G rings), contact tips and pads.

The company can produce parts with OD's or ID's as small as .009” and in lots as small as one and as large as many thousands. Capabilities also include machining of internal, external diameters and thicknesses of .009” on up; internal and external tolerances to .0002”; and surface finishes to one micro-inch (.025 micron).
