The plants will position CVMR as the industry leader for powdered metal production based on their systems and technology. The projects will include research and production facilities and balance of plant infrastructure. While AFS will provide engineering, procurement and construction management services, CVMR will develop the plants as part of a global initiative for fully integrated metal extraction, refining and manufacturing operations. CVMR has completed the process conceptual design and budgeting and AFS will start the industrial production plant conceptual design and cost estimate in 2014 with early completion in first quarter 2015.
CVMR is currently developing other metal production facilities around the world as part of its planned vertically integrated metals organization and is working as well with a number of NGOs and governments in support of local infrastructure development in a number of African countries.
