Nickel Institute Announces New Hire

The Nickel Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Nigel Ward as director for promotion and market development. In this role, Ward is responsible for raising awareness of nickel and its benefits in applications such as stainless steel as well as promoting the use of nickel in appropriate applications across multiple industrial, construction and product sectors globally. Ward, a British citizen, joins the Nickel Institute from the British Stainless Steel Association, where he served as managing director from 2004. He started his career as a graduate trainee with British Steel and subsequently held marketing and sales roles at British Steel Stainless, Avesta Sheffield, AvestaPolarit and Outokumpu. Ward worked on a number of high profile projects such as the Lloyd’s building and Canary Wharf in London as well as both the Twin Towers and International Airport at Kuala Lumpur. He was appointed group manager, market and trade political affairs at Outokumpu before joining the British Stainless Steel Association.  “We are delighted to welcome Nigel to the Nickel Institute team," said Dr Kevin Bradley, president of the Nickel Institute.
