Cortec says that its VpCI-391 clear water-based removable coating is suitable for a number of applications, including heavy equipment, machinery, vehicles, piping and structural steel.

The VpCI-391 coating reportedly has corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor applications and dries to a thin, clear film which is virtually unnoticeable. It can be used to protect both unpainted and painted surfaces, as well as to prevent dissimilar metal corrosion.

It has been used to transport fire trucks, heavy equipment and oil rig equipment, as well as to protect pipes and equipment from deterioration in outdoor storage yards.
