Trevor Graham has been appointed as engineering manager, where he will oversee Atlas’ process, design, and tooling engineering. Graham previously worked in compaction pressing at high tonnage.

Craig Stringer has also joined Atlas as a senior metallurgical engineer, following five years as an assistant professor of engineering at The Pennsylvania State University.

Academic side

“Being exposed to a wide range of different techniques and materials – even those outside of powdered metal – makes it possible to think critically about the ways to use those materials and gain the most benefit in various applications,” he says. “The academic side has provided a theoretical content and context that allows me to think outside of the traditional powder metallurgy box.”

Stringer ‘s work has been published multiple times in the journal Advances in Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials, and he is  scheduled to present at the 2014 Powder Metallurgy World Congress in Orlando.

This follows the appointment of Dick Pfingstler, CEO of Atlas, as MPIF's new president last November.
