This is the most current versions of these standards, which are used in the manufacture of both metal powder and powder metallurgy products. They are required by quality assurance programs in order to maintain full compliance, the MPIF said.
This new volume contains 48 standards covering terminology and recommended methods of test for metal powders, powder metal and metal injection molded parts, metallic filters, and powder metallurgy equipment, and metal additive manufacturing (AM). The 2022 edition includes three new standards on preparing and evaluating tension test specimens for metal AM and flow rate of metal powders using the Carney flowmeter funnel.
