New ceramics federation president

Dr Carsten Russner, managing director of Kyocera, has been elected new president of the European Technical Ceramics Federation (EuTeCer).

EuTeCer is an association for technical ceramics with members located in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Romania and Turkey. It is one of the nine sectors belonging to the umbrella organization of Cerame-Unie the European ceramics industry association. According to Cerame-Unie figures, the ceramics industry comprises around 2,000 companies in the EU.

Dr Carsten Russner has more than 30 years of professional experience in the industry. He holds a PhD in mechanical engineering and degreea in quality specialist engineering and mechanical engineering.

“I am honored to preside over such a dynamic and innovative industry on an international level,” he said. “As the new president, I would like to strengthen communication within the individual sectors in Europe so that we can benefit from each other in the future.”
