The Jim Gallagher scholarship will form part of several scholarships available for US college students who are currently enrolled in programs that could lead to a career in the finishing industry. Winners are selected by the CCAI finishing education foundation board of directors.
According to the CCAI, Gallagher served on the national board of directors and the Wisconsin chapter board of directors for many years. He participated on the Education Committee and co-authored and edited a number of CCAI technical manuals. “He was well-known for his generosity and kindness both professionally and personally, making this named scholarship the most fitting sentiment for students pursuing a career in the finishing industry,” the association said.
