New AM center in Indiana

Paragon Medical, which makes medical devices, has opened a new additive manufacturing (AM) facility at its headquarters in Pierceton, Indiana, USA.

According to the company, the new facility has 34,000 ft2 of manufacturing and operational space dedicated to 3D printing. It was built with an initial investment of US$16 million with an additional anticipated investment of US$19 million over the next five years, Paragon said.

The company also has AM design and production capabilities at a facility in Warsaw, Indiana.

“With the healthcare additive manufacturing market anticipated to be US$8 billion by 2030, our investment demonstrates a continued commitment to innovation in design and manufacturing in this rapidly growing space,” said Wil Boren, CEO of Paragon Medical.
