The US-based National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) has given its Lawrence J Rhoades Award to Mark F Huston, previously vice president at Kennametal.
During his 35-year career at Kennametal, Huston has held numerous positions of increasing responsibilities and also served as the inaugural director of the NCDMM from 2003–2006.
The award is given to individuals who show innovation in the defense manufacturing industry.
‘Our reputation for delivering proven advanced manufacturing solutions that result in significant cost-savings to the defense supply chain supporting the US Armed Forces began with [Huston],’ said Ralph Resnick, vice president of strategy.
Huston currently serves as a metalworking manufacturing consultant across various segments. He is also the owner of MFH Designs LLC where he designs and builds custom furniture.
