NASF/AESF Palmetto Branch to Host 4th Annual Myrtle Beach Technical Conference

The NASF/AESF Palmetto Branch will hold its 4th Annual Technical Conference Oct. 3–5 at the Hampton Inn & Suites Oceanfront resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The three-day event includes keynote speeches by Christian Richter, NASF executive director, and Alan Tonelson, a Research Fellow at the U.S. Business and Industry Council Educational Foundation. Also on tap: two days of networking activities and presentations, and, of course, GOLF! The theme of this year’s event is “Reshoring—Y’all Come Back Now, Ya Hear!” Organizers say it’s a humorous twist on a very serious issue facing the U.S. manufacturing community: revival of the manufacturing base in the U.S., and the metal finishing services that go with it. “We are very excited to be putting on the 4th Annual Myrtle Beach Technical Conference,” said Paul Frank (A-Brite), Palmetto Brand President. “We hope to bring some ideas to the table that will benefit all of us and encourage the kind of discussion and creative thinking that we need to sustain our industry for the long haul.” For registration information, please contact Kevin Helton (Crossair LLC) via e-mail: crossair@bellsouth.net; phone: 828-429-1394; or fax: 828-247-0365. Attendees are also invited to display via tabletops. Conference registration is $50 if you register prior to Sept. 21. Note: Golf at teh Blackmoor Courseis $75, which includes cart and lunch.
