MIM2021 goes virtual

The MPIF reports that the MIM2021 International Conference on Injection Molding of Metals, Ceramics and Carbides will be held online.

The event, taking place from 22–24 February 2021 was planned to be located in West Palm Beach Florida, USA. The 2022 conference will take place there instead, the organization said.

‘It is disappointing that the powder metallurgy industry will miss another opportunity to meet in person due to COVID-19,’ said James P Adams, MPIF CEO. ‘Our industry desires to meet, network, and discuss ongoing R&D to advance the technology. However, the health and safety of our industry is paramount, so MIM2021 will be held as a virtual conference.’

The MPIF said that the virtual MIM2021 conference will include presentations on the latest advancements in the technology, including e-handouts of the presentations, a virtual exhibit; the latest technological process and product innovations; commercial presentations; several publications; and an optional PIM tutorial Instructed from former MIMA president Matt Bulger.
