Metco Coating Services India has reportedly achieved its first certifications for the implementation of AS 9100D, which incorporates ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management). The scope of the certifications includes the manufacture of machined components and application of thermal spray coatings on aerospace and other industrial components, the company said.
The company, opened in India in October 2020, provides protective solutions to help avoid corrosion, wear, friction, heat and other surface mechanisms.
‘Establishing this thermal spray coating service center is one of our strategic initiatives to serve our customers in India,’ said managing director, Pravin Shirse. ‘With these certifications, we assure that we follow best practices at our work place for a sustainable environment, safety of our employees and quality services.’
