Metals company doubles 3D printing capacity

3D printing company EOS has reached an agreement with metal processing specialist Visser Precision to increase the latter’s metal additive manufacturing (AM) capacity. Visser has reportedly acquired three EOS M 400-4 systems and two EOS M 300-4 systems.

Visser says that market demands for DMLS-quality metal AM components in aerospace, space, defense, and other industries have been some of the bigger drivers of its expansion.

The two EOS metal AM systems are both four laser platforms designed for serial production, with the newest EOS M 300 series has configurable and scalable equipment architecture.
