Materialise CEO wins innovation award

The US Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) has selected Fried Vancraen, CEO and founder of Materialise, as its recipient of the fourth annual Innovators Award.

Vancraen will participate in AMUG's annual Innovators Showcase during the 2018 AMUG Conference, taking place from 8–12 April in St Louis, Missouri, USA.

The Innovators Award is given to individuals who have cultivated innovative ideas that in turn have advanced the additive manufacturing (AM) industry, according to the AMUG. Previous recipients of this award have included technology creators Chuck Hull, Scott Crump and Carl Deckard, innovators of stereolithography (SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM) and selective laser sintering (SLS) processes respectively.
