Lab model attritor for small media milling

The model 05-SDM has the features of a standard wet grinding, laboratory Attritor batch mill but is able to handle small media milling. Like the standard mill, the new model has no shaft seals and it’s possible to inspect and add material at any time during the grinding cycle. It also has a specially designed shaft and proprietary Delta Discs, so that it can use mini media from 0.25mm to 3mm and operate at the high shaft speeds (from 300 to 3000 RPM) required to energize small media.

One model has been shipped to a European customer with an electronic variable frequency drive (VFD) and a 3 HP motor.  The operator interface module was programmed to display agitator RPM, motor AMPS, and motor HP being used.

This mill can be made of stainless steel construction or be metal-free models. The mill processes about 1 to 1-1/2 liters of slurry and has a side discharge with a media retaining screen.
