Komet USA expands crown-cutting instruments line

It has a tip-transversing blade which facilitates penetration into the metal crown, and the instrument’s slim neck permits use along the entire length of the working portion. Effective chip spaces reduce heat generation during operation.

Besides the H35L, Komet offers the H4MCL, which is recommended for cutting PFM and hardmetal crowns. The H4MCL carbide facilitates cutting through ceramic veneering and the underlying metal — without the need to change instruments. The third product in the range, the Komet 4ZR, efficiently cuts all-ceramic crowns, including those made of exceptionally hard materials such as zirconium oxide or other high-strength pressed ceramics.
