Jeannine Kunz appointed to MTDG

The US Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group (MTDG) has appointed Jeannine Kunz, chief workforce development officer of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), to its board of directors.

She is the first female member of the MTDG board.

The MTDG is a holding company of both the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) and Advanced Manufacturing International (AMI).

“We are thrilled to have someone of Jeannine’s caliber and expertise join the MTDG board of directors,” said CEO and president Dean Bartles.

At the SME, Kunz led the acquisition of Tooling-U, an online training organization and is currently developing new partnerships and programs with the aim of improving workforce and training in US manufacturing.She also served on the executive committee of 3D printing organization America Makes.
 
“MTDG and its subsidiaries NCDMM, AMI, AMIIC, and America Makes have been strong partners to SME for some time, and I am excited to work towards furthering our organization’s like-minded actions in making a difference for this industry,” said Kunz.
