Höganäs says that its Brazil facility has been certified to the ISO 45001 health and safety standard.
‘With the standard in place, Höganäs in Brazil has the methodologies in place to ensure that all activities are in line with the best international safety practices,’ said project manager Victor Teixeir. ‘For Höganäs team in Brazil, the certification will help us know and manage risks, implement better controls and get the involvement of all coworkers.’
Grazielle Silva works in Quality Control and is part of the project team. She points out that the certificate has a symbolic value as well.
Höganäs’s subsidiary Abril Industrial Waxes, based in Wales, will next be qualified, the company says.
