Hoeganaes Corporation receives top awards at PM2014 World Congress

MPIF presented the Howard I Sanderow Outstanding Technical Paper Award to Christopher Schade and Tom Murphy of Hoeganaes, along with with Alan Lawley and Roger Doherty of Drexel University for the paper, “The Influence of Silicon on the Mechanical Properties and Hardenability of PM Steels.” 

Bruce Lindsley, also from  Hoeganaes, along with Murphy and Schade, won APMI International’s Excellence in Metallography award for the paper, “A Metallographic Examination into Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Ferrous PM Materials.” This award represents the second consecutive year a Hoeganaes team has won the metallography award and the third time in the past five years. Hoeganaes has also won the Outstanding Technical Paper Award five times in the last 10 years.
