Hardmetal saw cuts steel and non-ferrous metal

CS Unitec's new pneumatic circular saw, with a blade tipped with tungsten carbide, is designed to dry cut steel plate up to 3/8 in thick, as well as non-ferrous metal, plastic, grating, composite and corrugated materials. The Model 5 1115 0020 metal cutting saw is suitable for foundries, petrochemical, nuclear, marine, demolition and fabrication industries or other applications where pneumatic power is the norm. The 2 HP pneumatic motor operates at 90 PSI using 60 CFM air volume and has a ½ in female NPT air connection. The saw has an overall cutting depth of 3-1/4 in at 90° and 2-1/8" at 45°. The Ultra-thin (LBS) Laser Beam Saw blade comes as standard equipment for use with the Model 5 1115 0020 saw. This all-purpose, shock-resistant blade is the thinnest and fastest tungsten carbide-tipped (TCT) blade on the market, producing 35% fewer chips, Unitec claims. The Ultra-thin blade has a thickness of .055 in versus a conventional blade thickness of .073 in. Standard blades (.073 in thick) for dry cutting aluminium, thin-wall metal and sheet metal are also available.
